Boston charter transportation runs into a street network that predates buses. Narrow streets, low bridges and restricted routes in the older parts of the city determine vehicle size more often than passenger count does.

Practical constraints that matter here more than most cities: Storrow Drive and Memorial Drive have low clearances that prohibit motorcoaches, several tunnels restrict commercial vehicles, and Beacon Hill and North End streets cannot accommodate full-size coaches at all. We route around these rather than discovering them on the day.
Business districts and load points we work around include Financial District, Seaport, Back Bay, Kendall Square, Longwood Medical Area, Route 128 corridor. Regional routing typically uses I-90 Massachusetts Turnpike, I-93, I-95 Route 128, Route 1, Storrow Drive.

Academic and hospital calendars drive demand patterns here in a way they do not in most markets, and September move-in and conference season compress availability.
The Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in the Seaport and the Hynes Convention Center in Back Bay serve different hotel clusters. Seaport programs often need shuttles from Back Bay and downtown hotels, and the Seaport's limited street capacity means staging plans matter. We are not an official provider for these venues.

Logan International is unusually close to downtown — roughly three miles — but tunnel access is the constraint, and tunnel restrictions affect which routes a motorcoach can use. Manchester and Providence serve as alternates for regional groups. Charter pickups use Logan's designated commercial areas.
Boston-area weddings frequently combine a city hotel block with a venue on the North Shore, South Shore or Cape Cod, drives that run 45–90 minutes. Guest shuttles and a scheduled late-night return are the standard pattern, and summer Cape traffic on Fridays and Sundays is a real scheduling factor.
Harvard, MIT, BU, Northeastern, BC, Tufts and Wellesley generate some of the heaviest university group travel in the country, from athletics to admissions events to commencement weekends. Cambridge and Allston campus loading zones are tight and often require a smaller vehicle.

Fenway Park and TD Garden sit in dense urban settings with very limited bus staging, and Gillette Stadium is roughly 30 miles south in Foxborough with its own event-day traffic management. Bobby's Charter Bus is not affiliated with any team or venue.

Family gatherings, reunions, religious and community groups and private outings use the same itinerary review and vehicle-sizing process as corporate programs. Multi-stop private itineraries are quoted on total vehicle time because waiting between stops is still driver time. Black, professionally presented vehicles are our preferred standard and are confirmed with the transportation plan when available or specifically requested.
